emodel.com, Options Talent Group
To Whom It May Concern:
I am employed (very successfully and happily so) with
Options Talent, Inc.
Options Talent is a publicly owned company. We are expertly
trained, and told never to lie or misrepresent our company,
the industry, our clients, or our models and actors.
One can be fired in an instant for such behavior.
We never tell anyone they are "supermodel" material
unless they really are. Secondly, they are expertly graded,
and placed, if possible, in a category or categories
that they truly qualify for (Fashion, Petite, Promotional,
Commercial Print, Plus Size, Teen, Child, etc.).
If they don't meet specific requirements, but have acting
potential as an extra or featured actor, we can market
them as such.
If they do not fit into any category, we politely give
them a business card, and tell them we have no need at
this time, and politely and professionally tell them
we will consider them after one year has passed.
In the event of multiple members of a family, we might
accept the one or two that best qualify, but rarely all
of them —letting the other(s) know that it is an
industry decision, not a personal one.
We never guarantee any amount or specific kind of work.
We do market them to over a thousand agencies worldwide,
who also, along with a host of other professional entities,
use our site regularly searching for new faces and talent.
In February we referred over 60,000 work opportunities
to our models and actors, connecting them with model/talent
agencies who would manage them for those purposes.
Our digital composite only costs them a one-time administrative
fee of $495-595. Our monthly hosting and services fee
is only $19.95.
All photo and data upgrades are performed absolutely
free of additional charge. Additional photo slots are
just $15 each (typical is 2-4 of each for industry purposes).
We do not make them sign a contract, hence they can
come and go freely. Should they so wish, we will turn
off their composite, and they will not have to pay the
monthly fee until such time as they start up again, at
the regular monthly rate.
Compare this to the ongoing expenses and arduous task
of printing and distributing paper comp cards to a limited
number of agencies and companies, and our affordable
option and its maximum exposure looks mighty good!
We also hold special competitions for modeling, makeup,
designer wear, and movie contracts. These events are
an excellent source for one-on-one agency contacts as
well as media coverage.
Such upcoming events are the April cruise to the Bahamas
for designer label contracts, and our October Superstar
Search in London, which will name Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader
finalists for regional competitions, major designer label
contracts, and acting or speaking roles in a major motion
picture produced by John Daly and Martin Landau.
Our Advisory Board is a who's who of the entertainment,
modeling, magazine and designer clothing industry notables.
(See our website optionstalent.com)
We serve 250 metropolitan cities, which means we need
well over a million models and actors to fit every need
in the industries today. The need is ever growing. We
have yet to scratch the surface of meeting that need.
So, before you are so quick to judge or report, why
not check out the accuracy of the information you list?
The greatest and largest of companies will have a few
dissatisfied customers. But how many of them are something-for-nothing
people, or people who only hear what they want to hear.
We guarantee our models and actors that they must be
completely satisfied. If after the first year they are
unsatisfied for ANY REASON, we will provide our services
FREE OF CHARGE for the next TWO YEARS! What more could
one ask for?
Dr. Roy G. Bernius
Talent Executive
Options Talent, Inc.
Orlando, Florida
Roy,
Let us start at the end and go from there.
As a talent executive for Options Talent, your final
question is easy to answer, and it has already been answered.
The guarantee of Options Talent is identical to the
guarantee of emodel.com: two years of additional "service" free.
The complaints about the emodel.com "guarantee" were
very basic. They said, 'So if the website does absolutely
nothing for me, I get two more years of service which
will do absolutely nothing for me. Great.'
They also complained it was not a money-back guarantee.
So the answer to your question, "What more could
one ask for?" is give them back their money.
The members of emodel/Options Talent who have emailed
Modeling Scams with their complaints said they did not
get work through your services, and they want their money
back.
Why doesn't Options Talent offer a money-back guarantee?
If your service is as good as you say it is, why don't
you put your money where your mouth is, and offer a money-back
guarantee?
The only thing your guarantee does is guarantee Options
Talent will keep the money you take from members, even
if they don't get any work.
So it extremely ironic that your preceding remarks were: "The
greatest and largest of companies will have a few dissatisfied
customers. But how many of them are something-for-nothing
people, or people who only hear what they want to hear." Who
do you think looks like "something-for-nothing people?"
Options Talent gets "something for nothing" if
they get $595 + $19.95/month for 12 months ($239.40),
for a total of $834.40, but the members get absolutely
nothing.
Back to the beginning. In your opening remarks, you
said, and I quote, "We are expertly trained." Expertly
trained? Which experts trained you?
Just
yesterday a complaint was sent by a former employee
at Options Talent who held the same position as you.
The former talent executive at Options Talent wrote:
- I was not a "scout" —but a "Talent
Executive" —the people that are supposed
to evaluate models. Yet the majority of TE's (talent
executives) do not know the first thing about the industry.
That's what made me uncomfortable.
It is still intriguing that you talked about your "Advisory
Board," but you never once mentioned your Board
of Directors. Why?
"Options Talent is a publicly owned company," you
said. Are you aware that publicly owned and publicly
traded companies usually make public their Board of Directors
on their websites?
You signed your message saying you are in Orlando, Florida
(Options Talent, Inc., Orlando, Florida.) The corporate
headquarters of Options Talent, Inc. is in Orlando, Florida.
So this begs the questions: Who are the corporate leaders
of Options Talent, Inc.? And why are their names not
listed on the Options Talent website?
You wrote: "We serve 250 metropolitan cities, which
means we need well over a million models and actors to
fit every need in the industries today."
Where on earth did you get those numbers? Cite your
sources. Are you saying Options Talent can and will find
work for 1,000,000 people? Why would you "need" 1,000,000
people if you can't find work for 1,000,000 people?
