Face National Models and Talent
To Whom It May Concern:
I recently attended the Face National Models
and Talent search.
I sat in the lobby for about two hours watching all
the mothers bring in their grossly overweight daughters
and sons.
(I live in San Antonio, Texas, where we are one of the
fattest cities in America.)
As people went in and out, I was astounded at the audacity
of some of these people who thought they were model material.
A young girl and young man stopped next to the chair
I was sitting in, and I asked them: "So, is it a
scam or what?"
They did not know, but said they would play it out to
see.
My next move was going and filling out a form myself.
I did their "on-the-spot interview," and then
came back at eight o'clock that night.
The man in charge was a guy named Carrie, who was overweight
himself. He had long, greasy, cheesy hair, and also had
a picture of himself as one of the models when he was
younger.
(Again I say I can't believe the people that think they
are model material.)
He never once mentioned his last name, as he obviously
didn't in any other city he had been in.
I smelled scam right away.
Carrie put on this high-energy show about how other
agencies want you to take workshops, and what a "cash
cow" they were.
He also mentioned his twin daughters, not his twin sons,
which another person said he mentioned in another city.
I was given the phone number to call, and called it,
and, big surprise, I was one of the few chosen.
They would not answer any questions at the call back
meeting. He didn't even give the option.
I know you guys can't say it, so I will. MOTHERS OF
AMERICA!!!! Face models is a total scam and a complete
joke!
I am not going to sign their B.S. contract, and I suggest
you don't either. I suggest you take a good look at your
son or daughter, and take them to a real agency.
If you truly think they have what it takes, approach
Ford or Elite. We have all seen the Calvin Klein models;
you don't have to be exceptionally good looking or well
built.
If they turn your son or daughter down, just put them
into karate, or the glee club, or something.
By the way, my sister modeled all over Europe and North
America, and she never once had to pay for a single picture
or anything.
If you are good enough, people will pay you, not the
other way around.
Face models is a scam. Expose them for what they are.
Good luck,
